A Good story

My Father Should Have Retired As A Multi-Millionaire BUT... Im a son of an OFW and very much proud of it. For more than 30yrs my father worked in the Middle East as he provided for our education and supported us financially. Madalas nga kaming nakakakuha ng padala ng aking ama tulad ng chocolates, gadgets, and ofcourse pera. Halos updated kami sa kung anong uso noon. Plus lahat kami nakatapos sa top universities sa Manila. We almost had it all until one day papa told us that he needs to go home for good already. Masaya kami for his decision kasi finally magkakasama na kami for good BUT the reason for him to go home is not because financially ready na sya kung di dahil nawalan na si papa ng pagkakakitaan sa ibang bansa. Hindi na nagwowork ang business nya sa Middle East to which sinabihan kami ng aming mga magulang to prepare ourselves in supporting our family. Yung bunso kasi namin is still studying plus mawawalan na din ng source of income ang parents namin. Of course walang issue sa amin na magkakapatid to support our family dahil parents namin sila at mahal namin sila pero come to think of it, "my dad was once a multi-millionaire for I know how much he spends on our pasalubongs to the family and our relatives. I always knew na may kaya naman kami kasi nakapag-pundar si papa ng mga lupa, sasakyan at negosyo pero bago sya magsabi sa amin na uuwi na sya for good ay isa-isang nawala ang mga naipundar nya. Binenta nya ang mga pagmamay-ari nila dahil he thought that he can still save his business abroad pero hindi na din talaga kinaya e." Today, our family are together and we have a small business which is sometimes not even enough to sustain the daily expenses of our parents. Nakapag pundar din ng bahay si papa and that's it. Pero ok lang masaya naman kaming magkakasama. Siguro kung may isang bagay lang akong maipapayo sa mga taong nagpapakahirap magtrabaho sa ibang bansa o kahit dito man sa Pilipinas ay ang ipaalala sa lahat na wag kakalimutan na mag-invest sa sarili. Habang maganda ang kita, invest in your early retirement dahil walang permanante sa buhay ng tao atleast we are prepared just in case an unexpected situation happen in our lives.
